Too much gum tissue

Gummy smile before surgery

Sometimes the gum tissue supporting the teeth will cover so much tooth structure that it looks unsightly. A gummy smile is not pleasing. The photographs in this article show the dramatic changes available to change a gummy smile.

One tooth has it new shape!

Observe the short square teeth in the first image. The teeth appear short, square, very immature. The gum contour is not in the proper position for an adult smile. There is plenty of tooth stucture under the tissue. It just needs to show more.

Next photo shows the change with removing just some tissue on one tooth.

Half of the surgery is completed.

In the photo number 3 you can see how gum re-contouring is going to look. Just one side has the original shape and the other side has the new shape.

Make your smile a WOW!! With a simple surgical procedure!

Final photo on the day of the surgery.

In the final image all the tissue has been contoured. What a huge difference in smile. A simple surgical procedure can make a dramatic change in your smile. Its really hard to believe the starting photo is the same person as the ending photo.
