Do You Have Loose Dentures?

Denture with adhesive in place.

Never use more adhesive than you see in the photo.

Recalls of denture creams and adhesives containing zinc lead the American Dental Association (ADA) to release a statement urging denture and partial wearers to see their dentist, if their dentures are ill-fitting or problematic.

See your dentist today.

Why would you see your dentist? Your dentist monitors how your dentures fit, and can make adjustments to accommodate your changing gum tissue. Along with your denture adjustments, your dentist will do a thorough examination of your mouth, to check for any signs of oral cancer, gum disease or thrush.

Dentures should be comfortable

If you wear dentures, you shouldn’t have to rely on denture creams and adhesives to keep your dentures from causing embarrassing situations, along with decreasing your quality of life. Speak to your dentist if your dentures are uncomfortable or just don’t fit anymore. New ways (implants) to anchor your denture are a god send.
