Energy and water efficiency
Our office utilizes highly efficient mercury free florescent lighting and occupancy sensors for energy savings. We also use natural light from the expanse of windows surrounding the office space.
We have installed low-flow fixtures, energy star appliances and sensor-operated faucets are planned. Our evacuation system is a new dental technology that uses very little water – a huge savings compared to a traditional system that consumes approximately a gallon a minute.
We recently redesigned our HVAC system and purchased a new compressor to increase energy efficiency, add a fresh air exchange, and slightly undersized the unit. That makes our energy footprint much lower. A side benefit is the improved air quality
Current Planning
We’ve selected only the most environmentally friendly materials for our office. Current planning is underway for a cork floor, (renewable, noise absorbing, and recyclable) in the treatment areas. Cork is a Bio-Friendly Building Material.
We are planning, with the landlords help to move to a zero-scape.
Why Go Green
Well, you are a human, aren’t you? I want my great-great grandchildren to live on a planet that hasn’t turned on the human race. Other than that, green is good.
