Six Month Smiles: braces that don’t show

It’s difficult to believe how well some braces blend into your teeth.
The case I’m showing is planned for seven or eight months. It’s moderately crowded. Nothing too exciting so far……….. here’s the kicker. Using brackets made from the same material as the white fillings allows them to blend into the teeth so well. All you can see is the white wire. The photo is not retouched, they just blend in.

Straight Teeth
If you want your front teeth to be straight, don’t want braces to show, and aren’t willing to spend what it takes in time or money for Invisalign this may be the treatment for you.
These braces are placed on the inside of your teeth. A new low profile bracket without the sharp wings has been developed. Your tongue is comfortable but will notice the difference. The light pressure wire moves the teeth quite quickly.
The braces come in various forms and can be chosen according to fit the requirements of most patient’s specific requirements.

Daily Care and Maintenance of Your lnvisalign Aligners
1. Clean your aligners prior to each insertion. Use a soft bristle toothbrush using water do not use toothpaste. Recent research shows toothpaste weakens and scratches the trays.
2. Rinse each aligner thoroughly with water after each cleaning.
3. DO NOT use denture cleaners to clean aligners or soak them in mouthwash. These products damage the surface of the aligner, causing it to become dull and stain more easily.

Wearing and Using Your lnvisalign Aligners
Here are some tips to help avoid damage, get the optimum results and make your trays as comfortable as possible.
Always Remember to…
1. Wash your hands thoroughly with soap and water before handling your aligners.
2. Handle only ONE aligner at a time.
Aligner Insertion
l. Make sure you have the proper aligner, the upper for the top teeth and the lower for your bottom teeth. Duh, they wont’ fit the other way around.
2. To help avoid confusion each aligner is engraved with your unique case number, a “U” for upper or an “L” for lower, followed by the tray number.
